Winners of the 24th Western Australian Printmedia Awards, 2009
The West Australian Printmedia Award, was won by Hilda Klap with her collagraph – unique state, “Form”. Hilda won a Bench-top Etching Press valued over $2,100.00 sponsored by Alex Ardizzone of Future Engineering in Welshpool.

The WA Printmedia Digital Award, was won by Michael Kane-Taylor for “Heritage Country”, a Digital print. Prize is a $650 voucher sponsored by Don Nicholls of Team Digital in East Perth.

The WA Printmedia Highly Commended Award, won by Cecille Davoll with her entry “Echo of an Empty Heart“ a digital gliclée on hahnemuhle. This $500 award was sponsored by Mona Ketelsen of Monart Studio and Gallery in Dalkeith.

The WA Printmedia Best Edition Award, was won by Kati Thamo, “Shadow Me Home” is a linocut/direct print. Prize is a $500 voucher sponsored by Nick Towie and Mervyn Cole from ExoMod Art Framers and Gallery in Claremont.

The WA Printmedia Patrons Award, was won by Patrick Hyde for his digital print, “The Big Nowhere“. This $400 voucher was sponsored by Leon and Moira Pericles of Quattro Framing in Mosman Park.

The WA Printmedia Giclée Student Award, was won by Roslyn Cadee with “Re-Surfacing“ a digital photograph. This new award of $300 voucher is sponsored by Mark Williams of Type Tamer in Malaga.

The WA Printmedia Peoples Choice Award was won by Krissie Dawson for . Donated by the Printmakers Association of WA, this award of $150.00 is donated by the Printmakers Association of WA for a print in any medium and will be awarded at the closing of the awards.
