About PAWA

Collograph workshop at Tresillian
The Printmakers Association of Western Australia was founded in 1974 with the intent of providing support for members as they pursue professional exposure in the artistic field of printmaking.
For over 20 years the Association’s studio, gallery and office were housed very conveniently in Northbridge, Perth . However due to City redevelopment PAWA had to find a new home. Fortunately Tresillian, situated in Nedlands offered a space for the smaller Press and some office facilities. PAWA ‘s large Press is stored ( and in use ) at Central TAFE. The rest of PAWA’s effects are in storage. The Association is in the process of obtaining larger premises at Tresillian.

The Association now extends this assistance by providing an equipped studio, exhibition space, workshops, professional assistance, exchanges, exhibition opportunities, a newsletter and online hosting facilities. Local and national sponsors have been integral to the PMAWA achieving national and international acclaim evident in the breadth and scope of it’s annual and showcase activities.
An elected executive committee oversees all contributions by members who generously give time to serve in varying capacities, on a voluntary basis and with a high standard of professionalism. Membership benefits include merchant discounts, networking opportunities and the inclusion in a vibrant rapidly expanding group of dedicated Artist printmakers.
